San Diego Probate Court

Can You Attend a San Diego Probate Hearing Remotely?

In many cases, yes. San Diego Superior Court has offered remote appearance options for probate hearings, allowing parties and counsel to appear by video or phone rather than in person. This is convenient for out-of-town representatives and for routine matters.

The exact platform, sign-up steps, and deadlines change over time, so rely on the instructions in your official hearing notice and the court's website rather than assuming. Note one local rule that matters at confirmation hearings: an overbidder appearing remotely must be able to immediately transmit the required increased-bid form to the courtroom before the hearing concludes, or the confirmation is not effective. Your attorney will arrange the correct appearance method for your hearing.

San Diego Superior Court Local Rule 4.13.12; verify remote procedures at sdcourt.ca.gov. Not legal advice.
